After hundreds of projects, working with clients around the world, we have learnt that one size does not fit all. We’ve also learnt that you want to know what to budget for before the project starts. So, we've created a range of packages to help you estimate your budget.
How long does it take?
Timeframes are like budgets, until we know what you need we won't guess.
If you went to the doctor and they prescribed some pills before they had asked you any questions, or performed an examination, you would probably end up worse off than before.
We’ll work with you to find answers. During the Goal Setting process, we'll be asking questions so that we can agree on targets and set some timeframes.
With projects like website design and development we can forecast accurately. With marketing implementation we’ll recommend a timeframe based on the strategy. For example, inbound marketing will require a longer timeframe than online advertising.
What do I need?
Again, we don’t know what's right for you until we investigate. Our strategy is to ensure that you are able to maximise your investment. We'll start with an integrity check to see if your website is in shape. An all too common problem is that your website isn't supporting your marketing efforts.
Your website may have leaks that make it easy for visitors to pass right though without stopping. You may have leaks where your Adwords Campaign is sending visitors to the homepage of your website (yes, that’s far from ideal – you’re only making Google’s shareholders richer).
Our strategy is to identify any leaks, and if there are any, we will plug them before we increase your marketing efforts.

Neither your website nor your marketing will ever be finished! You will constantly need to improve your website and your marketing to make it work for you. Your budget will depend on your goals, business requirements and timeline. There is no one-size-fits-all price. Once you know what you need, then you can find out specifically what you need to budget.
How much does a website cost?
One of the first questions we get asked is "How much does a new website cost?"
The reply is – without being evasive – "that depends". We've built websites for six figures and we've built free websites for charities and everything in between. Typically – depending on the goals, business requirements, design and content – we build websites for $10,000 to $30,000.
Please also bear in mind – your budget will determine the features and deadlines of your project.

How much does website hosting cost?
We prefer to offer you a Supported Site rather than hosting. We're the experts at maintaining websites, supporting you if you need help and we have several premium plugins that are included. We run your WordPress website on the world's best dedicated WordPress platform so your website is fast, safe and secure. We recommend a budget of $254 per month.

How much does marketing cost?
When asked "How much does marketing cost?" or "how much does it cost to advertise online?", you'll get a different answer from everyone you ask. It really depends on your needs and your goals.
The advantage of marketing and advertising is that it can be done quickly as a project. Or – the recommended method – as an ongoing programme so that we can measure the results, to see what's working, what's not working, so we can adjust the plan as we go.
The best way to calculate a recommended budget is to complete a Signature Programme workshop.
How much does HubSpot cost?
While we can get you started free you'll want to upgrade to the Starter as soon as possible. HubSpot Starter unlocks more features, reduces some of the limitations of the free tier and removes the HubSpot branding. We'd allow a budget of $100 per month depending on how many contacts you have.
To unleash the full power of HubSpot you're looking at $1,000 to $3,000 per month depending on the Hubs (Marketing, Sales, Service, Ops). This is ideal when you need automation for marketing, sales, service and delivery. The automations saves your team time by automating the repetitive tasks so they can work on more proactive tasks.
If you are looking at HubSpot, book a time to talk with Mike Eastwood. He can recommend a setup so you invest in the right products at the right time. It's a significant investment – it needs to return an ROI (Return On Investment).
Planning & Strategy
Now I can answer the question "How much does Webalite's Signature Programme cost?".
The investment for the Webalite Signature Programme is $3,510 NZD (plus GST if you are based in New Zealand). A 50% deposit is required to begin the programme with the balance due on completion.

We’ll work with you over the course of seven sessions to review your digital strategy, systems, sales and marketing.
The seven sessions include workshops to identify your target customers, their journey to becoming a customer, and beyond. Also, we’ll implement technology to measure the traffic on your website, and follow your leads through your sales process.
We’ll find out if there’s anything on your website needs fixing using a website audit – because there’s no point pouring more money into a website that is leaking badly.
You’ll gain insights into your entire system from sales, to marketing and support. Easy to understand reports will help you align your digital strategy and find any issues with your current tech. And, you will have a 90 day campaign ready to implement, applying everything you learnt during the programme.
Marketing and Implementation
We’ve worked out a range of packages to suit your deadline and budget. You can choose from DIY (do it yourself), DWY (Done with you) or D4Y (Done for you). With our marketing implementation plans you can also vary the speed and budget by increasing the quantity and frequency.
DIY – Do It Yourself
As with most things online you can save money by doing stuff yourself… but at what cost?
Taking your time away from running your business and generating sales has a much bigger impact on your business than the money you will save when you DIY.

D4Y – Done For You
This is when you need us to come in and run a campaign, or implement your entire marketing plan. We work with you – with regular meetings – so we can ensure the marketing is working and that the strategy and plan are on the right track.
We will need transparency to implement this level of partnership – we’ll be goal setting and reviewing the numbers and the performance of the business with you at regular intervals.
Recommended budget from $8,000 + GST per month plus a recommended budget from $3,000 for marketing or advertising costs.
Other Considerations
Other marketing costs can include advertising, content creation (e.g. video), travel, etc. These costs will be added to the campaign budget so we can calculate an Return On Investment (ROI) for the entire campaign.
As well as a financial investment you will also have to invest your time, your team's time and maybe even some of your external suppliers e.g. your designer. Again, these costs need to be factored into a campaign budget even if the resources are “in house”.
